Consultancy - Consultant Building Surveyor
- Design reviews and advice on alternative pathways to achieve compliance with viable Performance Based Design Solutions.
- Briefing of a fire engineer, access consultant or other sub-consultants as appropriate so they can prepare a Performance Based Design Solution.
- Review of Performance Based Design Solutions.
- Appointment at early stages of feasibility or concept design to provide early identification of compliance issues and assist the design team with alternative compliance pathways to meet the project design & cost objectives.
- Assist with negotiation and resolution of issues identified by the Relevant Building Surveyor.
Building Approvals - Relevant Building Surveyor
- Appointment as relevant building surveyor (RBS) to issue the Building Permit.
- Inspections during construction to verify compliance with the Building Permit.
- Issue the Occupancy Permit or Certificate of Final Inspection as appropriate.
- Essential Safety Measures Determinations as required by a Building Permit or as a Schedule relating to an existing building..
- Review of Performance Solutions prepared by Fire Engineer, Access Consultant or other Consultant and independently issue the required Performance Determination.
- Review proposed protection works to adjoining properties, protections works notices, adjoining owner’s responses and make binding Determination for Protection Works.
